The process of modernization today is even greater than before. It is unavoidable that some achievements are made 鈶� at the cost of tradition. Many people believe that tradition should be reserved to the largest extent. On the one hand, they think that the tradition is the 鈶ream of history with perfect conclusion and abstraction, and thus it should be followed. On the other hand, we should keep our own traditional characteristics as a culture, so that we can find our own position in a world of 鈶� diversity.
However, some people believe that it is worthwhile to abandon tradition for modernization. In the first place, they view the history as a鈶� linear course moving forward, and outdated concepts must be timely eliminated. In the second place, they believe that civilization is more important, and should be realized 鈶� at all costs.
As far as I am concerned, we should sort out the universal truth in our tradition and stick to them. But we should also selectively put down some traditions for a better life.
