新概念雙語(yǔ):首份工作綜合征:從一而終也是???
最近,《金融時(shí)報(bào)》的一篇博客里講到了一種人:他們畢業(yè)以后找到一份工作,然后一直待在那里,沒(méi)有接觸過(guò)別的行業(yè)和業(yè)務(wù),長(zhǎng)此以往,他們就變得安于現(xiàn)狀、缺乏自信,害怕變動(dòng)。這篇博客把這種現(xiàn)象叫做“首份工作綜合征”。
“First job syndrome” is when you get a job early in your career, say right after graduation, and stay there for a long, long time to the point where it clouds knowledge of your own worth, and inhibits your ability to not only ask for more, but to credibly leave if not given it。
“首份工作綜合征”指畢業(yè)工作以后在一個(gè)職位上待了很長(zhǎng)時(shí)間,以至于你無(wú)法看清自己的價(jià)值,沒(méi)法開(kāi)口向上司提要求,要求得不到滿足時(shí)也不太可能會(huì)離開(kāi)。
People with this condition starts behaving like a beaten down puppy with the only employer they’ve ever known。 A lack of confidence causes them to believe that no one else will have them or value them as much as their current employer。 And, in some cases, they think it will be just as bad wherever they go, partly because everywhere else seems like a foreign country that may or may not even exist。

一直從事一份工作的人在信息結(jié)構(gòu)上要比換過(guò)工作的人窄很多。體嘗其他公司對(duì)你的招聘意愿,幫你融入,對(duì)你加以培養(yǎng),是很有價(jià)值的數(shù)據(jù),對(duì)那些缺少自信的人來(lái)說(shuō),尤其重要。
